Serbia grabbed a win in their opening match against a strong Slovakian side, 57-47.

With a working mentality, the Serbians were able to keep on top during all match, even if the Slovak Republic gave a tremendous fight.

The Serbians started better, presenting a mature side capable of finding various shooting possibilities.

The Slovakians tried to react bringing Kristina Matuskova in, but Serbia had a 16 points advantage by half time (35-19).

Anja Spasojevic also showed a great performance, with 12 points and six assists.

As for the Slovak Republic, Kristina Matuskova was the best scorer with 17 points.
