Italy is on the run for first place in Group F after an imperious 72-47 win over the Czech Republic in the U16 European Championship Women.
The Czechs resistance only lasted for the first quarter, as Italy took time to study how to beat the hard-bitten opponents.
But when the Zandalasini show started, there was nothing this team could do to stop Italy.
Cecilia Zandalasini is the type of player who can dominate the court, both defensively and offensively.
She scored all of her 18 points in the first half, grabbing also eight rebound in the entire game.
Italy kept scoring and after a hard talk during half time, the Czechs' reaction that was not strong enough to fight for a win.
With head coach Richard Fousek giving minutes to all his players, the Czech team kept their attitude, having in Sarah Berankova their best scorer with 14 points.
As the Italians keep their ambitions for top spot in the group alive, Alessia Cabrini's 11 points and Marzia Tagliamento's 10 points were appreciable stand-outs in this match.
Italy face France on Wednesday, as both teams are tied with a 3-1 record.
